ETHICS
AZTECS J.F.C. has always prided itself on its ethos of giving every child who wants to play football a chance, whatever their ability. This has, of course, meant that as a Club silverware has not always been forthcoming. We are, however, ‘rich’ in other ways.
We are known to be a sporting club and, over the years, have known many super volunteers who have given freely of their free time to help our local children play the great British National Game. Many in fact stay on helping long after their own children have grown up and moved on.
All our players, coaches, officers and parents are expected to abide by the Football Associations recommended Codes of Conduct published in conjunction with the new Charter Standard Award launched in 2001. All coaches and managers are encouraged to attend an FA approved coaching course and each team has its own Emergency Aid person.
The club has a designated Child Protection Officer who is available should anyone have any worries about a specific child or children.

AZTECS J.F.C. URGES ALL ADULTS TO REMEMBER THE WORDS OF KEN GUNKEL.
JUST A LITTLE BOY
Standing at the goal with heart pounding fast
Attacking player approaching: the die has been cast
Mum and Dad cannot help him, he stands alone
A goal at this moment would send the team home.
The offensive player kicks one; the goalie attempts but misses
There’s a groan from the crowd, with some boos and hisses
A thoughtless voice cries: ‘Take out the Bum’
Tears fill his eyes; the game’s no longer fun.
So open your heart and give him a break
For its moments like this, a man you can make.
Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget
He’s just a little boy and not a man yet.
